AT&T launches fiber network in 85 additional cities

AT&T is launching our ultra-fast internet service in nearly 85 cities across 20 major metros in November. The operator is expanding availability of the 1 gigabit connection to more homes, apartments and small business locations.

4 of the locations are new– Baton Rouge, BirminghamCharleston and Reno. That means the 100% fiber network powered by AT&T Fiber is available in 44 major metros nationwide. The plan is to reach 67 overall.

AT&T is a expanding the fiber network in 16 metros where it was already launched:

The operator is offering the ultra-fast service to over 3 million locations, of which over 500,000 include apartments and condo units.
