RadioShack filed for bankruptcy

The electronics chain RadioShack Corp filed for bankruptcy on Wednesday, according to Reuters. It is expected that the company will close around 200 stores- the overall number is close to 1 500.

Sprint will change several hundred locations to corporate-owned stores. The mobiole operator will redeploy to other Sprint stores assets such as signage, displays and inventory currently at RadioShack locations which are closing.

All Sprint employees working at Sprint-RadioShack locations will transition to another Sprint store.
